Bill Pay Agreement and Disclosure

Bill Pay Basics

To make payments through Bill Pay, you must have a checking account. You can make payments at any time and have the following options:

  • Schedule a one-time Today payment (where the submission and send on date are the same)
  • Schedule a one-time payment for a future date (where the send on date can be up to one year in the future)
  • Schedule multiple payments at one time on the same day
  • Schedule recurring payments to occur at regular intervals

Who You Can Pay

You can pay virtually anyone in the United States--from bankcards, mortgage companies, auto loans, and department stores to the newspaper carrier. Payees that are not eligible for payment through this service include governmental agencies, including but not limited to, the Internal Revenue Service, all state and local tax authorities, collection agencies, as well as recipients of court-ordered payments like child support or alimony. However, payments to government agencies for utilities such as water are permitted. Organizations or individuals outside of the United States are not eligible for payment through Bill Pay.

Payment Processing

Today payments (where the date the user submits the payment and the send on date are the same) start to execute immediately after you log out of the session by debiting your account. Today payments submitted before 12:00pm ET on a business day will be debited and processed on the same day; otherwise, the payment will process on the following business day.

Future scheduled payments are debited on the same day as their send on date, and processed on the scheduled payment send date. However, if the payment's send date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, the payment will be processed on the next business day after the send on date.

Money HQ

Money HQ provides you with the ability to consolidate your online financial account information into one place and to move money between accounts.

The consolidation of information is sometimes referred to as account aggregation. Gathering of information is very simple. On your behalf we log into your online financial account using the credentials you provided when you set-up the account. Once we gather this information we'll display the information within Money HQ under the accounts page.

When you want to move money between accounts we will perform a debit (remove funds) against the account you specified and then credit (deposit) the other account. We use a variety of electronic funds transfer networks such as the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and Automated Clearing House (ACH), to transfer your money.

How to Navigate Money HQ

Money HQ is integrated throughout the Bill Pay site but is always clearly labeled Money HQ. Money HQ options can be found under the following tabs:

  • Money HQ: Allows the setup of online financial sites to retrieve account information, set-up alerts based on account information or to perform money movement.
  • Bills: Allows you to pay bills.
  • Account Services: Provides the link to unsubscribe from Money HQ.
